里約奧運男籃賽事，阿根廷與克羅埃西亞2支勁旅10日碰頭，阿根廷靠著全隊5人得分上雙，其中史考拉(Luis Scola)貢獻23分，以90比82擊敗克羅埃西亞，笑納2連勝。
開局雙方僵持，阿根廷直到第二節才靠著外線發威，單節4顆三分將比數稍稍拉開，以46比40進入下半場。
易籃後阿根廷從防守端施壓，單節讓克羅埃西亞17投僅5中攻下14分，趁機將差距擴大到雙位數，儘管決勝節克羅埃西亞在薩瑞奇(Dario Saric)強攻禁區帶領下一度縮小比數，但最終仍以8分差落敗。

史考拉攻下全場最高的23分，外帶9籃板，吉諾比利(Manu Ginobili)替補上陣19分鐘貢獻13分，前NBA球員諾西歐尼(Andres Nocioni)也有11分、5籃板的表現；克羅埃西亞以薩瑞奇19分、10籃板、7助攻表現最為優異。
B組另外兩場賽事，西班牙65比66遭地主巴西絕殺，立陶宛則以89比80擊敗奈及利亞；目前阿根廷與立陶宛戰績皆為2勝0負並列分組龍頭，西班牙、奈及利亞則仍在尋求首勝。
